Topic: We will have a group of supervisors from various local industries discussing safety in their facilities. This should be a fun, interesting and informative discussion of best practices.

1. How did you receive your present safety culture, ideas, and values?
2. Can you describe those values?
3. How do you share these ideas, values and practices with your employees?
4. How do you measure the results of your efforts to encourage safety practices?
5. How do you hold your employees accountable for following and using safe work practices?

Abstract:
Noise is an unwanted sound that can have a devastating affect on hearing. Noise is everywhere both in industry as well in your daily lives. We will explore the techniques used in reducing noise while taking a look at control measures used in industry today.
Brief Bio: Dr. Ron B Read, CIH
Owner and founder of Read Consulting, a full service industrial hygiene and safety consulting firm with Fortune 500 as well as small company clients. Dr. Read is a certified industrial hygienist, certified in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene with over 25 years experience in safety and health. He was the Corporate Manager Environmental Health for Excel Polymers and Corporate EHS and Medical Manager for Springs Industries, the largest publicly held textile and chemical applications company with over 30 facilities worldwide. Dr. Read has been an invited speaker both in the US as well as internationally and is an expert witness in toxic tort cases as well as workers comp.
